Eumundi in Focus

Eumundi is a Sunshine Coast Hinterland village with a warm, open and welcoming local community. Situated 15 kilometres south west of Noosa and 90 minutes north of Brisbane, it is a town renowned for its artistic, cultural and historic character.

From humble beginnings as a timber town, the village has evolved whilst retaining its historic village charm and has become a hinterland centre for commerce and creativity.

Recognised as a popular market town since the 70's, Eumundi is home to the world famous Eumundi Markets. Whilst the markets operate two days a week attracting 1.2 million visitors a year, for the main, businesses in Eumundi's village precinct and surrounding localities operate 5-7 days a week, with numerous family owned and operated enterprises.

As a strong commercial hub, the region also encompasses a wider business community from Belli Park, and Eerwah Vale to the west, and Verrierdale, Doonan, Wyeba Downs to the east.

With such diversity in retail, hospitality, food, accommodation, agribusiness, manufacturing, creative and performing arts, trades and professional services sectors, Eumundi has grown to become a robust commercial hub for entrepreneurs, small business, and larger enterprises alike.

Eumundi is also a popular wedding and tourist destination on the Sunshine Coast with something for everyone such as cafes, a great playground for the kids, a bookstore, boutique clothing stores, farm gate experiences, alfresco dining options, enchanting venues, its own museum, weekly live music, not to mention exceptional craft beer, roasted coffee, and scrumptious sweet treats.

For hinterland escapes, weekend getaways, romantic interludes or simply to reconnect with self or nature, whether for business or pleasure, Eumundi has it all with boutique accommodation, indulgent health and wellness retreats, nature trails, and locally grown organic produce nestled throughout the area.

For creatives wanting to release their inner artisan and discerning shoppers searching for locally made handcrafted items, the region is home to a wealth of designers and makers of jewellery, furniture, leather goods, apparel, fine art and sculpture, pottery, ceramics, and so much more…

Close enough to smell the sea air, yet far enough away to set your mind free, Eumundi is more than just a market town... With enchanting places to stay, and lots to see and do, and eat and drink while you explore the area, we recommend you visit Experience Eumundi and Discover Eumundi Heritage and Visitor Information Centre online for the latest on what Eumundi has to offer.

We love Eumundi, and you will too!
