Important Events & Workshops – April 2020

The following events and workshops are currently offered online.

*Please note that with COVID-19 developments we have found that many
events, online workshops and webinars dates are subject to change and/or
cancellation without notice. To avoid disappointment, please check these links
regularly.

1. Queensland Tourism
Industry Council Business Capability Programs Digital Ready Workshops –
Instagram for Tourism & Events

Funded and
supported by the Queensland Government through its Tourism Industry Business
Capability Program (TIBCP) by Qld Tourism Industry Council.

Covers Facebook
basics, selling skills, Instagram for tourism and events, online booking basics
and more. Conditions apply.

NOTE: The QTICB Business Capability programs have been suspended until 1
June 2020. Please check their website via the MIC link if these programs are of
interest to you and your business post COVID-19.

2. TAFE Queensland
Financial Resilience Webinars

TAFE Queensland
is offering a series of webinars providing support for small business economically
impacted by COVID-19.

Training and
mentoring packages are available at varying times commencing Tuesday 21
April 2020, through to the end of May for eligible small businesses from the
Department of Employment, Small Business and Training, partnering with TAFE
Queensland.

These webinars
will help you identify risks, build financial skills and plan
to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on your business.

Webinars are fully
funded by the Queensland Government at no cost you and you are welcome to
attend each of them.

To qualify for
these packages a business must:

  • Self-identify to have been economically impacted by
    COVID-19
  • Have fewer that 20 employees on 1 January
    2020-04-16
  • Have an Australian Business Number (ABN), and
  • Not have an owner or director who is an
    undischarged bankrupt or insolvent.

3. Australian Small
Business Advisory Services (ASBAS) Digital Solutions QLD

Supported by Sunshine Coast Council and RDA Sunshine Coast, ASBAS offers
various low cost virtual workshops and webinars to help businesses with digital
readiness and skills development.
